Chemical Peels

What is a chemical peel?

A chemical peel is a technique that improves the skin's texture and appearance, by applying a chemical solution to the skin, which removes the outer damaged layers. The amount of skin removed will depend on the type of chemical used, the strength of the and how long it is left on the skin or how many layers are applied to the skin.

They can be used on most areas of the body, but are commonly used on the face, chest or the back of the hands to improve rough skin texture, fine lines and wrinkles, age spots, sun damage, blemishes, scars or acne. The peeling creates a healing response at the lower layers of the skin that stimulates the production of elastin and collagen, resulting in smoother, radiant and younger looking skin.
